To see the 11th Berlin Biennale at Gropius Bau, one has to enter the exhibition from the exit. How does queerness become a survival technique of maneuvering life through exits? What makes an artwork queer? How can we experience art from a trans-feminist perspective? Enter and stay: all are welcome to join this elegantly bitchy conversational counter-narrative tour, provoking constructions of norms and questioning centralized experiences through the 11th Berlin Biennale artists.
Mediators: Hannah Kirmes-Daly is a reportage illustrator and Rüzgâr Buşki is an artist and a community organizer. Both are based in Berlin and part of the 11th Berlin Biennale mediation team.
Focus Tours are free of charge. Participants will reflect on topics together and view a thematic selection of artworks presented in the venues. Thus, this tour is also suitable for visitors who have already seen the exhibition.
Registration and further information: visit@berlinbiennale.de
All tours can also be booked by groups.
