exp. 3: Affect Archives. Sinthujan Varatharajah – Osías Yanov
With Geschichten in Bewegung II: Hoch hinaus [Stories in Motion II: Flying High], Mirja Reuter and Florian Gass followed on their workshop held as part of exp. 1: The Bones of the World (7.9.–9.11.2019). In groups, children from the neighborhood developed and built larger-than-life moving figures. In a shared process of conception and construction, all contributed their ideas and skills. The figures were built, sewn, painted, and assembled using bamboo sticks, cardboard, and fabrics. They then were brought to life and served as the starting point for joint scenic realizations. What might these new collective beings experience? Where do they come from? What skills do they have to use to make themselves heard?
In cooperation with the Department for Culture, Arts and History of the District Office for Mitte in Berlin. Supported by the Berliner Projektfonds Kulturelle Bildung.
